Back to case studiesThe Ice Factor climbing centre is the largest indoor ice climbing facility in the world, featuring the UK’s largest articulated rock climbing wall. The facility specializes in training skills for mountaineering.
The centre is designated as the Mountaineering Council for Scotland’s Regional Centre of Excellence and the National Centre for Ice Climbing. In addition to some of the best indoor climbing facilities in the country its other main features include special outdoor equipment, cafeteria and restaurant, conferencing facilities, medical and climbing courses, Sauna and steam room and a mobile Ice Wall.
Not only has the centre created jobs, it has also brought a wealth of specialist tourism to the area and given the local community a great place for a family day out for all ages.
