Back to case studiesThe project was developed originally to assist former Corus steel workers traumatized by the experience of redundancy and therefore in need of intensive help to make meaningful future choices. Later the project was rolled out to other companies across South Yorkshire for support during the economic downturn and recovery.
The project is funded by the Learning and Skills council and European Social Fund and delivered by the Rotherham Community Union as a two, three or five day course. The course provides practical advice sessions on IT skills, mock interviews and CV writing, as well as information on training opportunities and job openings in the local labour market.
